I am a half Spanish, half German multilingual European lady, who grew up mesmerized by Southern Africa. My passion for wildlife, learning about local cultures and communities was sparked by travelling to remote, off the beaten track paradises at a very early age.
As the only child of a Spanish Ambassador and a travel-loving German mother, I travelled extensively for the first seventeen years of my life, exploring many areas where tourists were not permitted, such as alluvial diamond mining areas off the remote coast of Namibia, armed with special permits to fly in and spend a few days in camps used only for ecological/mining purposes.
Growing up with my accomplished, refined and multilingual father who planned magical holidays where every tiny detail was thought of, and each step of the adventure superbly coordinated ensuring that the whole family enjoyed unbelievable destinations and experiences taught me through the years the fine art of creating exceptional voyages. These educational, off the beaten track voyages formed a key part of my upbringing. Travelling has been an integral part of our lives since my birth.
Professionally, I spent most of my career in marketing luxury products – I worked for L’Oréal marketing “Giorgio Armani Perfumes” worldwide. Another passion is gemstones, following my gemmology degree at the prestigious ING Paris (Institut National de Gemmologie), I designed a collection of jewellery, of which some pieces were offered to members of a royal family. For decades, I have organised many voyages for my friends to South Africa. Their appreciation of my taste, meticulous care for detail and my passion to share wonderful trips, gave me an idea.
So following my destiny, leaving behind a comfortable job, home and routine, I set off on a four month trip to travel through Southern Africa. My mission was to choose spectacular destinations for the discerning traveller.
It has been very rewarding to share my knowledge of the wine industry where I spent a few, instructive years marketing top South African wine brands. This knowledge and having met many renowned wine makers as well as the wine estate owners, adds to the multiple travel facets where we can offer personalised advice to clients.
With the help of my life-long friend, Carianne Wilkinson, teacher and co-owner of the prestigious Silwood School of Cookery in Cape Town, my clients can benefit from reservations and receive sound advice during peak season and throughout the year of where to go for the best “gastronomic dining experience. This prestigious school trains some of the top chefs in the country.
This individual portfolio of stunning safari lodges and tented camps was meticulously selected during many years of visiting pristine, wilderness areas to discover the most extraordinary destinations.
Riding safaris in South Africa and Botswana with highly experienced guides is a wonderful manner to experience the bush.
In many private reserves, the possibility to do hikes with top, highly experienced trackers is another way to submerge oneself in the delights of African scents, superb sights and the surprising sounds of the bush. The experience of walking in nature with wild animals, elicits unparalleled emotions.
For those who are golf players, we offer luxury accommodation at exceptional golf courses. One of these was designed by Gary Player, which has earned a world-class reputation as one of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts.
Being a keen fisherwoman, there are some remote, superb fishing lodges where I can organise a stay in superb natural surrounding for those wishing to engage in this challenging sport.
My goal for each voyage is to create fabulous, life-changing impressions that last a lifetime. Teaching and sharing with aspiring travellers who wish to go beyond expectations to discover unparalleled, luxury travel experiences. My deep knowledge in designing creative, life-enhancing voyages shall lead you to seeing our magnificent planet through new eyes.

Today travelling has become much more complicated due to Covid-related restrictions. My role is to ensure that I get to know each one of my travellers’ tastes, desires & hobbies to tailor make the best possible program suited to each traveller’s individual needs.

Caleo Foundation “A Commitment to South Africa”
In 2022 I was honoured to be invited to accompany the founder of the Swiss foundation, Caleo Foundation, Dr. Carmen Ellinger-Muhleder, to visit her pride and joy, the Sanbona Wildlife and Nature Reserve. During five highly instructive days, I learnt more about the community, wild-life conservation, and the educational projects that Caleo was sponsoring. Caleo Foundation has a long term, wide-reaching purpose: to protect nature and wildlife and the promotion of art.
The days were action-packed and intense. For the duration of my visit, I was also in the company of the General Manager and Director of Sanbona, Paul Vorster, and the director of Caleo Foundation, Juerg Greter. Very constructive meetings took place concerning follow ups on projects and new initiatives for the community as well as educational and wild-life conservation programs. It was very informative to spend time with the principal players and to witness the physical and legal operations of the foundation and see the positive impact. Jock Safari Lodge, a concession situated in a prime area of the Kruger National Park, was also purchased by the Caleo Foundation. Jock Safari Lodge’s local employees directly participate in the success of the concession and assist South African National Parks not only with a concession fee, but also with Jock Environmental Monitoring, deterring poachers and saving endangered species.
